Chess lessons
Author: VB

As a professional coach, I offer chess lessons.
Different types of lessons are available:

1.Opening preparation.
Do you want to adopt a new theoretical line or even a completely new opening? Would you like to feel more comfortable in complicated present-day opening systems, to understand their ideas and subtleties well? If so, then studying openings with the Grandmaster will be really helpful to you.
We can’t ignore the fact that today’s openings are investigated very deeply and therefore are closely connected with the next game stages – middlegame and even endgame. Thus, as a result of opening preparation you will improve your understanding of many middlegame and endgame positions.

2. Examination of your own games.
A chess player can hardly make significant progress if he doesn’t analyse his own errors and its causes. That’s why thoughtful examination of played games is essential, especially with the help of a strong coach.

3.Lessons on strategy and tactics.
For these lessons I have collected many games and positions on various themes, such as positional understanding, calculation and so on.

4.Lessons on endgames.
“In order to improve your game, you must study the endgame before everything else, for whereas the endings can be studied and mastered by themselves, the middle game and the opening must be studied in relation to the endgame” (Jose Raul Capablanca)
Together with knowing endgames theory, it is essential to introduce it in practice, i.e. to have practical skills of playing in endgames. The lessons offered by me include both aspects.

5. Training games.
This type of chess training can prove especially useful prior to a tournament; it is very good warm-up which helps to feel the rhythm of play.

The lessons are provided via different chess playing zones (ICC, Playchess etc) and Skype.

The rates are negotiated.
